Shopping is not just for women!
Okay, I have to admit that I shop the way most guys do--that is to say, I prefer to buy than shop. Normally, I know what I want, I go to the store, I buy it and I'm out again inside of 15 minutes.

But clothes shopping is an entirely different matter.

I like to look good, I admit it. Most of the time, I dress in jeans and a casual polo shirt or tee shirt, but truth be told, I wouldn't mind being better dressed. But new clothes are expensive, so I rationalize the 90's rocker look by saying 'who wants to be a slave to fashion"?

Well, TJ Maxx and Marshalls is changing my attitude. Really.

I went shopping today--I've been looking for a sport coat for quite some time. Something that wouldn't cost me $500 for a nice jacket. So I went to TJMaxx to see what they had.

Unfortunately, they didn't have any suit coats that I liked. But they DID have a bunch of nice shirts that will match that black sport coat when I find it. I'm not WAY into clothes, so I tend to buy name labels. Which are usually expensive, so I don't buy many clothes at all.

Today, though, I found 5 shirts and two ties for a total of $115. I got shirts by Calvin Klein, Geoffrey Beane, Pierre Cardin and Ralph Lauren...great shirts at great prices. I bought 7 really nice dress items for the price of TWO at another store.

So yeah, I'm a guy, and TJ Maxx and Marshalls are now encouraging me to admit...

I like shopping. :)

Just wanted to say hello and good to see other posts from other guys who shop at TJ Maxx. I am a Buyer for TJ Maxx professionally but still enjoy the savings I get when personally shopping at TJ's.
You said six continents!!!! You travel Antartica??? NPR (National Public Radio) just did a segment on Antartica and explained the "epiphany" travelers get from the blue ice. The whole segment was cool...sounds like Antartica is a place for the true adventure seeker.

Have a good one!

The Battle Creek store location has a great selection of Urban designers for those that want to put together their "own" look. Check it out!
.TJ Maxx is opening a new store in Morehead City,NC and they have chosen to hold their Grand Opening on Sunday Morning at 10:00 am. With 7 days in the week, why are they disrespecting families- and their employees- by holding their GALA on Sunday morning? With parents working and youth sport events crowding out the weekend, Sunday morning is the only time left for families to spend time together. I'm not a right wing radical and I do shop on Sunday. But why is this company choosing to do this Sunday instead of Saturday or Monday???
It's ok - let it all out. Admitting it is half the battle. ;) Naw, there's nothing wrong with liking to shop! More power to ya!
