The Career team has been busy in the market looking at and buying....what we call "store stock".

What is store stock???

Store stock is excess branded product from FAMOUS High End department stores and POPULAR national mall stores.

We are getting ready to launch a store stock feature in Ladies Career planned for early September. In selected TJ Maxx's across the nation you will see Designer Labels from Famous High End Department Stores.

It is fun to shop store stock features because it is a true treasure hunt. The diversity of product and brands make it so fun, you'll fill up a carriage and run to the fitting room in no time!!!!

I just got back from our Pittston PA warehouse to look at some of the goods we recently purchased for this feature and will post some pictures in the next upcoming days.

So look out in early September for some great treasures at some great prices!!!!

As I am getting ready for the holiday weekend, I did some personal shopping and was impressed on all the great values and fresh receipt of goods throughout my local TJ Maxx!

My personal finds....
Anyone who is a last minute shopper such as myself can find a great selection of tees, shorts, and swimwear. I personally bought a swim suit and t-shirt....
OK .....I also bought stationery and gourmet pasta and well.....I also bought a watch (but that was on clearance so the value was even greater!!!).
Long story short...in classic TJ Maxx style...you never know what you'll find and you'll never know what you buy until you've been inside to see whats new and exciting!

Hello...Just a quick update on what the Career Buyers have been up to the last couple of weeks. We have been travelling our markets (predominately New York City and Los Angeles) looking for exceptional values for July. We are trully excited about keying into summer blouses with amazing savings!
Each week from here to July 4th you should see a diverse selection of blouses that not only look great with pants and skirts but also with jeans and leggings!

I recently shifted gears a bit and now work in Ladies Career. My three years in Ladies Active have been extraordinary but now look forward to buying a new product area. I will spend the next couple of weeks meeting my new vendors and working with my new team. : )

The Activewear team as a whole has been busy buying current season apparel for our stores, while also buying great fashion for summer and believe it or not....for next winter.
My recent journeys include New York City, London (England), Glasgow (Scotland) and Vancouver(Canada). The beauty of my job...within these last four weeks and destinations, I bought famous branded ski jackets, "outdoor" lifestyle brands, a new line of yoga wear, and a high fashion sneaker label.
While its great to be in the office catching up on paper work...I am off to New York City tomorrow to buy coverups and swimwear to keep our stores full and fresh of this seasons must haves.

My name is Scott and I am a buyer in the Ladies Activewear department. "Blogging" is a new experience for me so l first just want to say I look forward to the interaction to come.

Our buying team is fortunate to buy diverse brands and product that cater to a diverse population. We buy for shopper's who have an "athletic lifestyle"...we understand this may mean different things to different people. From technical brands for the sports enthusiast to famous department store brands for the more casual shopper, our buying team seek out product that offers great value, fashion and savings.
Going forward......
I want to use this Blog space to share what I do and how exciting it is to be a buyer for TJ Maxx. Whether writing about fashion trends, great store events approaching, or recent trips I have made buying product, I want this blog space to be as fun and as diverse as our customers who shop TJ Maxx!
